BREAKING: We Used The Protest Today To Say That The Attack Is Not On The ADC, But On Democracy-Dino Melaye

Dino Melaye, a chieftain of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), has said the protest held by opposition figures was not merely about his party, but about defending democracy in Nigeria.

Melaye made the remark during an interview shared by Arise News while reacting to recent political developments surrounding the opposition. According to him, the demonstration was organized to draw national attention to what he described as a growing threat to democratic values and institutions in the country.

Speaking on the purpose of the protest, the former Kogi West senator said, “We used the protest today to say that the attack is not on the ADC, but on democracy.”

He explained that the protest was intended to send a clear message that the challenges currently facing the ADC should not be seen as an isolated party issue. Rather, he argued that the situation reflects a wider attempt to silence opposition voices and weaken the democratic space in Nigeria.

Melaye also maintained that members of the opposition remain united in their commitment to preserving democratic governance and ensuring that the voices of Nigerians are not suppressed. He noted that while political disagreements may arise, such issues should not be used to undermine the broader mission of protecting the nation’s democratic process.

The former lawmaker further stated that opposition leaders would continue to pursue lawful and peaceful means of engagement with relevant institutions in order to defend their rights and the principles of democracy.

He urged Nigerians to remain alert and continue supporting democratic ideals, stressing that the decisions taken in the midst of the current political climate could have far-reaching implications for governance, justice, and accountability in the country.

Melaye’s comments have since added to the ongoing conversation surrounding the protest, with many observers viewing the demonstration as part of a larger struggle over the future of opposition politics and democratic stability in Nigeria.

Favor As Higher Power?

(The hidden truth)

Some positions in life cannot be held or retained for long if you are not favored. Favor is higher power. You are not the only one desiring, deserving, connected, powerful or qualified. Some positions in life, opportunities, success, achievements, triumphs, selection, approvals, power and position, elevation, patronage, etc, are mainly through favor. Favor is silent, spiritual and higher power. For spiritual guidance, other solutions, call/Whatsapp Dr J.A. Faros on 07030514063. With God, all are possible.
