Veteran journalist and former Editor-in-Chief of the Daily Times and Nigerian Tribune, Tola Adeniyi, has spoken about what he described as the hidden spiritual strength of women and how it can affect powerful men.
Speaking during an interview on Edmond Obilo’s podcast, Adeniyi said many women do not fully understand how powerful they are. According to him, a woman’s emotions, especially when deeply hurt, can have serious consequences on a man’s life.
He also claimed that some men in positions of authority draw strength and protection from their wives. Adeniyi recalled the story of a former Nigerian Head of State whose power and safety were allegedly tied to his wife.
According to him, the leader was once told that as long as his wife remained alive, no harm would come to him. He said that while the woman lived, the former ruler escaped several plots against his life and remained untouchable despite being in a very powerful position.
Adeniyi added that everything changed after the woman died, as the former Head of State’s life reportedly took a different turn afterward.
The elder statesman did not reveal the identity of the former leader but said the person is still alive today.
In his words, “When the wife was alive, he was invisible, nobody could kill him, nobody could touch him. He escaped all plots to get rid of him.”
