Dennis Amachree, a former assistant director of the DSS, has spoken about the people charged to court by the federal government for allegedly plotting a coup to overthrow the government of President Tinubu
In an interview with TVC, Amachree said the first set of people arrested in connection with the alleged coup plot were military officers. He said it was later discovered that a police officer, an electrician and politicians were among those who allegedly plotted the coup
In Amachree’s words: “I think it is a well coordinated plot, I am very sure the initial inquiries and investigations must have shown that actually a lot of people are involved. Remember the first people that were arrested (sic), we did not know about the electrician, the civilians there or the police officer or even some retired officers or civilian politicians who are at large by now. So I think it was a big plot and the security agencies have done very well in unearthing it and then bringing it to court”
