Former Anambra State governor and Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, has said he has no problem with criticism from Nigerians, stressing that leadership is about serving the people and listening to their concerns.

In a video shared by Advocacy for Good Governance, speaking during an interview, Obi said protests and agitations from citizens should not be seen as a crime. According to him, every leader must be willing to engage with people, including those who disagree with them.

He explained that it is impossible for every Nigerian to support or like one leader, adding that there will always be a large number of people who may dislike him or oppose his ideas.

Obi said the responsibility of a leader is to continue working hard daily to solve the problems facing the people and improve their lives through good governance. He noted that by doing so, more citizens would gradually support and trust such a leader.

The former governor also maintained that leadership should be centred on service rather than intimidation or harassment of citizens.

Reflecting on his time as governor of Anambra State, Obi stated that no security official who worked with him could accuse him of ordering them to act unlawfully against members of the public.

He added that leaders must constantly earn the support of the people through honesty, performance, and commitment to public welfare.

In his words, “There’s nothing wrong if anybody even calls me bad names because, if I expect the whole registered voters or 200 million Nigerians to be in love with me, then I’m mad. There will be at least 40 to 50 percent (of people) who don’t want to see my face.”

Favor As Higher Power?

(The hidden truth)

Some positions in life cannot be held or retained for long if you are not favored. Favor is higher power. You are not the only one desiring, deserving, connected, powerful or qualified. Some positions in life, opportunities, success, achievements, triumphs, selection, approvals, power and position, elevation, patronage, etc, are mainly through favor. Favor is silent, spiritual and higher power. For spiritual guidance, other solutions, call/Whatsapp Dr J.A. Faros on 07030514063. With God, all are possible.
