BREAKING: Akwa Ibom Govt Approves 11 New Bills To Advance ARISE Agenda
The Akwa Ibom State Executive Council on Tuesday approved 11 executive bills as part of efforts to advance Governor Umo Eno’s ARISE Agenda and promote socio-economic development across the state.
The meeting, held at the Executive Council Chambers, Governor’s Office, Uyo, was presided over by the governor, alongside Deputy Governor Senator Akon Eyakenyi, Secretary to the State Government Prince Enobong Uwah, Head of Civil Service Mrs Elsie Peters, and other top government officials.
In his opening remarks, Eno thanked residents for a peaceful Easter celebration and said the special meeting was convened to review key executive bills for transmission to the State House of Assembly. He reiterated his administration’s commitment to delivering on the ARISE Agenda across all sectors.
The council approved bills including the Akwa Ibom State Hotels and Tourism Development Commission Bill, Lottery Regulatory Agency Bill, Senior Citizens Centre Management Agency Bill, Geographic Information Service Bill, and Ibom Broadcasting Corporation Bill.
