BREAKING: Onanuga Said That The Pupils Were Rescued, But The Teacher Said They Were Released – Atiku’s Aide
Paul Ibe, the senior special adviser on media to the former vice president of Nigeria and ADC Chieftain, Waziri Atiku Abubakar has raised doubts regarding the comments made by Bayo Onanuga over the rescue of the school children and their teachers in Oriire, Oyo State.
According to the statements which were shared on his official X handle on Saturday July 18th, 2026 he drew the attention of the public to the comments made by one of the teachers, Mr Olatunde Zacchaeus.
Bayo Onanuga, the senior special adviser on Information and Strategy to President Tinubu, it can be recalled, while announcing the freedom regained by the abducted pupils and their teachers, had disclosed that security operatives effortlessly rescued them.
However, while speaking with Info FM popular media house, one of the teachers identified as Mr Olatunde Zacchaeus stated that they were released by their captors, a remark which triggered massive curiosity amongst the populace.
Paul Ibe, widely known for his outspokenness, pointed out that the announcement made by Bayo Onanuga was a stark contradiction to Mr Olatunde Zacchaeus’s narratives.
However, while he declined to disclose the consequences of the contradictory narratives, he pointed out that the contradiction was an indication that a ransom was paid to secure their release.
