Zubby Michael Shares the Real Reason He Loves Davido

Nollywood actor Zubby Michael has expressed his admiration for Afrobeats superstar Davido, describing him as a kind-hearted person who genuinely wants those around him to succeed.

Speaking in a recent interview, the actor said his love for the singer goes beyond fame or wealth, insisting that he values people based on their hearts rather than their possessions.

“I love Davido so much. He’s a great guy. He has a good heart. I love people not by what they possess physically, but spiritually. OBO has a pure heart. He wants people around him to succeed, and that’s golden,” he said.

Zubby revealed that his excitement whenever he sees Davido is unlike how he reacts around other celebrities, noting that he has never hidden his admiration for the award-winning singer.

Recalling their first meeting, the actor said he ran up to Davido, shouting “OBO” while recording videos. Although some people criticised him for his reaction, he said he had no regrets.

“People were like, ‘Are you mad? Don’t you know you’re a superstar? Why are you bringing yourself down?’ I told them, ‘Are you stupid? You’re not in any position to tell me how to react. I love the young man and I’m crazy about him,’” he added.

According to Zubby, Davido recognised his genuine affection and welcomed him warmly, assuring him that they were like brothers.

He also disclosed that the singer gave him his first private jet experience, a gesture he said he will never forget.

Describing Davido as “the biggest force” and “the baddest,” Zubby maintained that his admiration for the music star is sincere, adding that he will always celebrate him for his kindness and generosity.
