The founder and presiding pastor of Salvation Ministries, David Ibiyeomie, has spoken about global economic hardship, insisting that suffering is widespread across the world but saying Nigeria faces a particularly severe level of difficulty.

Speaking during a recent sermon shared on YouTube, Ibiyeomie said many people underestimate the scale of hardship affecting ordinary citizens, stressing that even though some individuals may appear comfortable, millions are struggling silently.

“People are suffering all over the world. Though Nigeria own is at a different level,” he said. “People are suffering, let nobody deceive you.”

He urged Christians not to be indifferent to the realities around them, noting that access to basic needs by a few should not be mistaken for national prosperity. According to him, economic hardship is more widespread than many acknowledge.

The cleric emphasized that the gospel remains the only reliable answer to human suffering, encouraging believers to remain bold in sharing their faith rather than being ashamed of it.

“You don’t be ashamed of what is gainful. You can’t be shameful of the gospel,” he said. “Gospel is the only answer.”

Ibiyeomie added that while suffering exists globally, African countries face additional challenges that require both spiritual and leadership intervention. He referenced Nigeria and Cameroon in his remarks, suggesting that the continent faces broader governance and economic difficulties.

He encouraged believers to maintain faith and spiritual engagement despite harsh conditions, stressing that hope in Christ remains central to overcoming hardship.

According to him, Christians should use their influence to spread messages of hope rather than despair, especially in environments affected by poverty and insecurity.
