BREAKING NEWS: Iran Says IRGC Navy Intercepted 4 Violating Ships in Strait of Hormuz

According to a report by Anadolu Agency on Saturday, July 18, 2026, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has announced that its naval forces intercepted four vessels attempting to transit the Strait of Hormuz, alleging that the ships were operating with the backing of the United States military.

According to a statement published on Friday by Iran’s semi-official Tasnim News Agency, the vessels were stopped during what the IRGC described as a coordinated missile and drone operation in the strategically vital waterway.
