Governor Uba Sani has expressed his sincere appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for their approval and award of significant infrastructure contracts valued at over ₦1 trillion and ₦178 billion in Kaduna State.
In a post on Facebook on 1st May 2026, he highlighted that these projects are transformative and will have a lasting impact on the state’s economic and social landscape.
He detailed some of the key projects, notably the Kaduna Light Rail Project, which includes a 30-kilometre corridor from Rigachikun to Sabon Tasha and a 20-kilometre line from Millennium City to Rigasa, forming a 50-kilometre network. Additionally, he mentioned the reconstruction of the Mando–Kaduna–Birnin Gwari road, a 122-kilometre route valued at ₦178 billion.
Furthermore, the governor emphasized Kaduna’s leadership in transportation development, being only the second state in Nigeria to undertake a light rail system, reflecting confidence in the state’s capacity to implement such projects.
He also recalled President Tinubu’s visit to Birnin Gwari before the 2023 elections, which was followed by a commitment to improve infrastructure and security in the area.
The governor reaffirmed Kaduna’s dedication to executing these projects as lasting legacies that will foster a more prosperous, secure, and connected future for the state, expressing gratitude for the president’s unwavering support.
