Another common sign is the profile picture. If the contact’s profile photo suddenly vanishes and doesn’t update anymore, it may indicate blocking. Additionally, any messages you send to the person will only show one check mark (message sent) but never progress to two check marks (message delivered). This is usually the strongest sign.
You can also try making a WhatsApp call. If it never goes through, and all the other signs are present, it’s likely you’ve been blocked.
Still, it’s important to remember that these indicators could also mean the person deleted their account or has connectivity issues. The best approach is not to overthink, but rather communicate directly through other means if it’s important.
