On Monday, 23 March 2026, Mosab Hassan Yousef posted a critical message on his verified X account, questioning President Donald Trump’s handling of the conflict with Iran.
In his post, Yousef wrote:
“Trump went to war betting on quick regime change, clean win, help is on the way, all warnings ignored.
“Now he’s stuck: threatening to harm the very people he promised to help, just to save face.

Yousef’s remarks came hours after President Trump announced on his Trump Truth Social account that the United States (US) and Iran had engaged in discussions aimed at resolving hostilities in the Middle East. The president outlined a temporary pause on planned military actions against Iran’s energy infrastructure, contingent on the progress of ongoing diplomatic talks. Trump stated:
