The veteran Brazilian has formed a special relationship with supporters and he and his family have fully encapsulated everything it means to play for Chelsea.

Thiago Silva will play his final game for Chelsea on Sunday.

Silva, who was on the bench for the win against Brighton is expected to be restored to the starting line-up against the Cherries, and is reportedly going to be made captain for his final game.

There are believed to be a number of plans in place for Silva on the final day, and journalist Kieran Gill has now revealed Silva could address the fans on the pitch at full time.

He took to X and said:

“Thiago Silva could address the crowd at Stamford Bridge on Sunday after his final game.

“Plans still being finalised by Chelsea, nothing confirmed yet. “But Mauricio Pochettino has told the club he does not want to do a full-time speech like Erik ten Hag at Old Trafford.”

Silva is heading back to Brazil to finish his career at Fluminense where it all began back in 1998 and has signed a two year deal with the club.

He will hope to help Chelsea finish sixth in his final act for the club and secure Europa League football for next season.
