BREAKING: Idea Nigerians Are Complaining Not True, Its Nonsensical To Claim Tinubu Has Destroyed Nigeria—Morka

In a recent interview with The Sun on Monday, March 23, 2026, the National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Felix Morka, has rejected claims that Nigerians believe President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is not performing in office.

‎Morka stated that it is not correct to suggest that citizens are widely complaining about the president’s performance, according to him, the narrative that the government is not working does not reflect the full reality across the country.

‎He explained that the Tinubu administration has taken clear steps to respond to key economic concerns, especially the removal of fuel subsidy and reforms in the foreign exchange system, these policies, he noted, were necessary decisions aimed at correcting long-standing structural problems in the economy.

‎Morka argued that blaming the current government for rising prices and inflation following the subsidy removal is misleading and described such claims as unreasonable, insisting that the policy was designed to stabilize the economy over time rather than create hardship.

‎He acknowledged that the removal of subsidy came with short-term challenges, including higher fuel costs and increased prices of goods, however, he maintained that these effects are part of a transition period and not evidence of policy failure.

‎The APC spokesperson further stated that the government has been taking steps to ease the pressure on Nigerians, he pointed to ongoing efforts to improve access to foreign exchange, which he said is gradually helping businesses and stabilizing the market.

‎”The idea that Nigerians are complaining is not working is not true. It is nonsensical to claim that Tinubu government has destroyed Nigeria with prices and inflation that went up because of the removal of fuel subsidy,” he said.
