But like everything else in life, having too much sex can be unhealthy, especially for women.
Here’s what happens if a woman has more sex than her body can handle:
Swelling and Soreness
Too much rough sex can make your private parts sore and swollen. It can also cause a condition called vaginal excoriation, which happens when there’s too much rubbing during sex. This scrapes off the skin around the vulva during penetration.
This condition can cause painful urination, difficulty walking, and a swollen vagina.
Higher Risk of UTI
Women who are sexually active have a higher risk of getting urinary tract infections (UTIs) than those who aren’t.
This risk gets even higher if a woman has multiple sex partners because frequent sex can push bacteria into a woman’s urinary tract, which can cause a UTI.
Dehydration
During sex, partners usually sweat and lose a lot of water from their bodies. So if you have too much sex, you’ll lose too much water from sweating, which can lead to dehydration.
Lower Back Pain
Having sex too often can cause chronic lower back pain. Lower back pain is mostly caused by torn or pulled muscles or ligaments. Some back pain may be normal, but when it becomes severe, it’s a warning that you should change your sex habits.
