5 Reasons the Book of Enoch Was Excluded from the Modern Bible

Verse 14: “And Enoch also prophesied of these people, who were in the seventh generation from Adam, by saying, “Look, the Lord has arrived with his millions of saints.” To judge everyone, and to punish all of the ungodly of all of their acts of godlessness, which they have done without godlessness, as well as of all of the harsh words that ungodly sinners have said against him.” Verse 15: “Enoch, too, had a prophecy concerning these things. This does not, however, indicate that the Book of Enoch is divinely inspired or that it should be included in the canon of sacred writings known as the Bible.....CONTINUE READING THE FULL STORY HERE

Jude 1:14 is undeniably Enoch’s affirmation of these assertions; yet, this does not necessarily imply that he authored the entirety of the Book of Enoch (or any of it, for that matter). This book was excluded from the collection of sacred texts known as the canon because of the problematic teaching it contained.

— Here Are Five Facts About The Book Of Enoch

1. The Name Noah Is Mentioned in the Book of Enoch

Even though the Bible states that Enoch was taken to heaven many years before Noah was born, Noah is mentioned in Enoch chapter 10 verses one through three. This is despite the fact that the Bible states that Enoch was taken to heaven.

Then, supposedly while Uriel was present, the Most Holy and Great One spoke to Lamech’s son. This took place in Lamech’s presence. Lamech gave him instructions to convey the news of the deluge to Noah. Hide, and when he asks you about the end of the world, tell him it will be because of my name. A global flood is expected to strike at some point in the not-too-distant future, and it will wipe out everything on earth.

Even if Enoch was the author of the Book of Enoch, there is no indication in the Bible that he ever returned to Earth after being taken to heaven. This is despite the fact that Enoch is credited with writing the book. How was it that he was familiar with Noah and the great flood?

2. Azazel Is Blamed For All Evil

According to what is written in Book of Enoch chapter 10 verses 8 through 9, the entire world has been tainted by the deeds that Azazel taught him to attribute to every form of sin. This has resulted in a polluted environment. It goes on to say that God places all of the blame for the pollution that exists on earth on a demon by the name of Azazel.

The Bible only makes reference to Lucifer, who is often commonly referred to as Satan or the devil; nevertheless, this does not mean that there are not any other types of demons. Yet, their identities are never revealed, and as Satan is credited with being the one who initially brought sin into the world, it is often believed that he is ultimately to blame for all of the problems that are present in modern society.

According to Jesus, anybody who sins is of the devil since sin is something that the devil has done from the beginning of time. According to 1 John 3:8, the revelation of the Son of God had the purpose of putting an end to the evil activities of the devil.

3. The Demons Confessed Their Guilt For Their Sins

In chapter 13 of the Book of Enoch, verses 5 and 6 give the impression that the fallen angels are making amends for their sins. I typed out their supplication and prayer after they were unable to communicate with God from that point on or look upward out of shame for the sins for which they had been found guilty. I described each of their unique spirits and deeds, as well as their pleadings for mercy and forgiveness.

According to Matthew 25:41, which reads, “Then shall he also say unto them on the left hand, “Depart from me, ye cursed into everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels,” the Bible seems to suggest the opposite. This is due to the fact that it says that Satan and his angels will burn in Hellfire.” It appears that the devil and his angels will spend eternity in hellfire, and this fact lends credence to the idea that they have no intention of repenting of their evil ways, given that anyone who does so will be spared the torment that awaits them there.

According to the verse found in the third chapter of Second Peter, some people have the misconception that the Lord backs out of his promises. Instead, the Lord is patient with us and is not in a position to allow anyone else to be destroyed; rather, everyone should make their way back to God and repent of their sins.

4. God is no longer in communication with the demons

Not only does the last line that I read from the Book of Enoch indicate that demons repented, but it also claims that after their initial rebellion, demons were no longer able to communicate with God because they were unable to talk with Him or raise their eyes to heaven. I read this line because it was the last line that I had read from the Book of Enoch.

To give you an example of their conversation, in Job chapter 1 verses 6 through 9, it says, “But on that day, when the sons of God came to reveal themselves before the Lord,” which indicates that Satan was able to speak to God directly in heaven about Job and his faithfulness.

When the Lord questioned Satan about his origins, the adversary said, “From walking up and down in the ground and from traveling back and forth in it.” Satan then manifested himself in their midst.

The Lord questioned Satan, saying, “Have you given any regard to my good friend Job? There is no one on earth as good as him; he is a perfect and upright man who fears God and avoids evil in order to avoid sin. There is no one else on earth as good as him.” Satan responded to the Lord by saying, “Job is one to fear God since it does not.”

5. Angels Married Women

According to chapters 10 and 12 of the Book of Enoch, the Watchers were angels from heaven that traveled to Earth, took human wives, and had children with them. They are described as having married and had children with the women they married. Once their immoral activities had polluted the world, God then brought about the flood as a punishment for them.

The Bible, however, does not support this notion. In the book of Matthew, chapter 22, verse 30, Jesus makes it clear that those who would be raised from the dead at the time of his second coming would neither marry nor be given in marriage.

but are comparable to the angels in heaven who serve God. So, I never get married. Even some Christians I’ve talked to believe this to be the interpretation of the verse in Genesis chapter 6 that talks about the sons of God getting married to the daughters of humans. But that is a completely incorrect interpretation of the Bible.

The phrase “sons of God” refers to those individuals who are devoted to God and are descended from Seth, while the phrase “daughters of men” refers to those who are involved in earthly affairs and are Cain’s descendants.

Their Union eroded the faith of those who followed God’s religion, which paved the way for evil to spread throughout the world. That is often what takes place whenever a Christian person makes the decision to marry a person who does not practice their faith. Their partner, rather of bringing them back into the world, leads them further and further away from God. For this very reason, the Bible forbids Christians to marry non-Christians.
