Have you ever given any attention to the various ways in which the world could possibly come to an end? If you are a person who reads the bible, then you are already aware that the end of the world is drawing near. Our beliefs lead us to believe that this world will, at some point in the future, come to an end.
“And this gospel of the kingdom will be spread throughout the whole globe as a testament to all countries, and then the end will come,” (And this gospel of the kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the whole world as a testimony to all nations) – Chapter 24:1–51 of Matthew
“But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also, and the works that are therein shall be burned up,” the Bible says. “But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night.” – 2 Peter 3:10
I believe that anything like this might take place.
1. Earthquakes
Quakes pose a significant threat to human life. Severe earthquakes have the potential to demolish homes and other types of infrastructure; if this were to go on for days, it would be easy for people to lose their lives.
2. An epidemic of virulent viruses
Consider the case of COVID-19 as an illustration; now picture a virus that was even deadlier than this one yet for which there was no treatment.
3. Animals assaulting human beings
Just try to picture the chaos that would ensue if all animals decided to start attacking people at once. There would be anarchy in every single part of the world.
4. Bolts of lightning
Do you have any idea how fast lightning can travel?” The speed of lightning is equal to the speed of light, which is approximately 186,000 miles per second.” In one minute, how many individuals do you believe it might potentially affect?
5. Tornadoes
“Homes and businesses are shattered when extremely powerful winds blow through the area. In addition, winds are capable of bringing down bridges, derailing trains, hurling automobiles and trucks, ripping the bark off of trees, and sucking all of the water out of a riverbed.”
